Boyd's Tower Precinct
Beowa National Park is located on the south coast of NSW. Parks NSW required the replacement of visitor infrastructure at the historic Boyd’s Tower following its destruction by bushfire.
Shannon Architects developed designs for replacement that have changed and extended the experience of the site with expanded viewing opportunities and rest points. The route has been modified to open views to the tower and spectacular coastline while achieving Class 1 disability access. This required the considered placement of extensive boardwalks, platforms and pathways.
Other design elements include new carparking, interpretive / welcome shelter, a small plaza at the heritage listed tower and a range of furniture.
